The girl who writes her own story

About Mary Louisse Rulona

Hi! I really don’t know what to say about me in this corner. I’m still on the process of knowing myself. It seems that I’m a paradox, a conflicted contradiction. I never know someone who already figured me out neither did myself figured out herself.

So, let’s go to basics.

I’m a twenty-three year old Filipino woman (with Japanese and Spanish Ancestry) who currently studying Law in Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan.  I’m also a Registered Psychometrician (RPm) who is among the pioneer batch of the first passers of the Psychometrician board in 2014.

If you’ll asked me, “why is my pre-law psychology?”; my answer is “why not?”. Kidding aside, I took up Psychology because I haven’t figure out if I wanted to be a lawyer or doctor when I entered college. Life and all its uncertainties.  My mom suggested psychology since it can be both pre-law and pre-med. Actually, I wanted to took up Hotel and Restaurant Management in College but my parents don’t want me to. So hello, Psychology. But hey, I learned to love psychology in the long  run.

I’m a Christian and a Believer of God. I was baptized under the Catholic Faith and receive Jesus as My Lord and Savior when I follow Him as a Born-again Christian.

I’m an ambivert, I can be both introvert and extrovert. Sometimes, I feel like I’m more on being an introvert.

I’m a self-proclaimed nerd and bibliophile. Reading books give me solitude and escape from the reality of this world.

I always try to advocate these four traits: Confident. Optimistic. Resilient. Empowered. I call them my CORE traits.

I’m an advocate of self-importance and anti-bullying. I was once a bully victim and I want to inspire bully victims to conquer bullying by focusing on their self-importance.

I am a self-proclaimed millenial writer who write for a cause and make writing as her platform to voice out her message.

I always strive to discover beauty in imperfection.
